INDIAN WEDDINGS!

HECK YEAH!

THEY’RE AWESOME!

I’ve done Indian wedding photography in Auckland where I’m based, on Waiheke, in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown as well as Melbourne, where I used to live

Indian weddings really are the best to shoot. They’ve got what I call the ‘Four Bs’ – they’re bright, bold and beautiful with lotsa bling. I just love all of that.

I’ve shot small, intimate Indian weddings with ten guests right through to big, fat Indian weddings with 1000+ guests.

These weddings have been on roof and hill tops, in backyards and gardens, at wineries and in hotels, and of course, temples.

Doing Indian weddings differently

Before every wedding I scout around for out of the ordinary locations to photograph the Bride and Groom, and their bridesmaids and groomsmen. I look for spots that are interesting and unusual because I want to give each couple something unique and edgy. I mean, you don’t want your photos to look like anyone else’s do you?

I’ve photographed couples on their wedding day in and around derelict buildings, in and outside warehouses, down laneways with colourful street art, under motorway bridges and other places that aren’t the norm for wedding photos.

Every couple is different and every wedding is different. So my video team and I customise a coverage and quote for each couple.

We've shot Indian weddings where everything takes place on the same day while others have rituals, ceremonies and celebrations over multiple days.

Let's chat over the phone or a video call. Super keen to hear all about you and what you're planning for your Indian wedding

"Mala is amazing!!!

We knew we wanted Mala before we even chose a date for our wedding. She’s so easy to get along with and makes even the most awkward of people feel comfortable. I loved every single photo! We love her style, genuine kindness and all over vibe."
